The River Cottage

The River Cottage is a three-bedroom ground floor apartment on the estate looking out on the river and former church. It has a full kitchen, sitting room, and two bathrooms.

It has its own private parking spot for one car, but there are parking places a short distance away for more vehicles.

The three bedrooms are all located on the ground floor.

The main bedroom has a superking size bed that can be converted into two twin beds. There is plenty of wardrobe and hanging space.

The second bedroom is small and has a childs bunk bed or a single bed.

The third bedroom has a double bed and an ensuite bathroom.

Extra guests can be accomodated in the sitting room which has a double sofa bed and a sofa that converts into a single bed. There is also a double sofa bed in the third bedroom, although this is a very tight option.

The cottage has strong wifi and the password is available on arrival. We hope you will enjoy the grounds of the estate and make use of the outdoor seating and facilities.

The key is available from a lockbox outside the cottage. Check in is after 4pm. Please let us know if you would like to arrive before and leave bags. The cleaning team work from 11 to 4 and might be able to prioritise preparing the cottage for your arrival.

It is surrounded by parkland on the banks of the Shannon River and stands next to St Patrick’s, the former parish church. The cottage has central heating, a shower room, toilet and TV . It also has a fully equipped kitchen with a gas cooker, coffee machine, kettles, a washing machine and a fridge freezer.

Guests have access to the entire property, and may enjoy the gardens and parkland.

This cottage is entered through an open plan kitchen that extends into the living room, a cosy room with a log stove, television and couch that folds out into a sofbed for two people. A breakfast counter seats up to five people. From the sitting room a small hall opens into a bathroom with shower and toilet, a double bedroom with a kingsize bed and a small single bedroom. The cottage has central heating, hot water and an electric shower.

The house sits in the shadow of Saint Patrick’s Church, and is a short walk away from the banks of the River Shannon and the park and woodland of the estate.
